What do you want to do?  Select either Rename Files or Generate Directory Listing to display a dialog box for each function.  Return

Date Option  Select Use File Modified Date if you want the new filenames to be generated based upon the Modified Date of each file to be renamed.  Select Specify Date if you want to specify the date to be used in generating all new filenames.  Note:  the file's modified date is used instead of the creation date because when a file is copied, it's creation date is set but it's modified date is not changed.  Hence, when files are copied from the camera to your hard drive, the modified date is the most relevant.   Return

Specify Date  These controls are displayed only when Specify Date is selected and is used to specify the single date that will be used to generate all new filenames. Use the left/right arrows to decrement/increment the Year, Month, and Day.  Return
